Lykkeberg 1899 Christmas herring with walnut is a declaration of love for everyone who loves walnuts.

Lykkeberg 1899 is herring made according to old, unique recipes. These are old-fashioned matured herring that are head and tail capped upon landing, after which they are placed in layers in barrels with salt and spices. The herring is stored in barrels between 6-12 months, where the herring matures in its own enzymes and takes flavor from salt and spices. This traditional maturation method gives the herring an absolutely fantastic taste. After maturation, the herring is cleaned, filleted and trimmed, after which the herring is hand-packed in jars and placed in different warehouses.

Shipping: Marinated herring is packed in a plastic bag and in bubble wrap before shipment in case of an accident. Marinated herring is actually a refrigerated product, but is not sent refrigerated and the responsibility for shelf life is transferred to the customer when it is shipped. It is the customer’s own responsibility to ensure that it is allowed to import herring into the country of delivery. In the EU, there are no restrictions.
