Brown Cookie Spice Mix

Dr. Oetker Brown Cookie Spice mix is a special blend of different, exquisite spices that ensure that the Christmas cookie taste just right. Brown cookie spice mix is also suitable for other Christmas cakes and can easily be mixed into melted chocolate when making homemade confectionery. Contains 20g Inspiration / RecipeClassic browniesIngredients 11/2 tsp. Dr. Oetker Potash 1/2 dl water 250 g butter 200 g syrup 200 g sugar 1 tbsp. Dr. Oetker Chopped Almonds 1 cup Dr. Oetker Sugar or Orange Zest 1 sachet Dr. Oetker Brown Cookie spice mix, 500 g wheat flour How to use: Dissolve the potash in the water. Bring butter, syrup and sugar to a boil. Stir in the dissolved potash. Cool the mass in a bowl until lukewarm, if it is too hot the dough will crumble. Mix the almonds, sugar/orange zest, sifted brownie spice and flour together and stir it into the sugar mixture. Knead the dough well and roll it into thick bars (Ø4 cm) or gather it in a ball. Place the dough in the fridge for min. 12 hours. Cut the dough into thin slices, or roll it out thinly and cut out small shapes. Bake the cakes for 8-10 minutes. at 160° C hot air or 180° C traditional heat. Tip: The dough can be frozen and cut out directly from the freezer
